ombudsman alternative program for at-risk students
As a fast-growing school district outside of Atlanta with 24,000 students, we needed a program that would help us curb our dropout rate and would fit our budget.

Ombudsman provided options for our students who are struggling, and did so for the same cost of an internal alternative program. Some of our students struggle in school because of family, financial or other personal challenges. Some are overwhelmed with large classrooms. Others have made mistakes that impact their right to attend school and get an education.

Our primary goal in working with Ombudsman was to provide an opportunity for our non-traditional students who faced any of those situations. Thanks to the shortened school day, individualized attention and personalized work pace that Ombudsman provides, our students are attending class and finding success.

We are so pleased to provide this option to our students, and have already expanded since the program began.
