The approach Ombudsman takes really resonates with students.
We work with two Ombudsman sites that are wonderful and very flexible. They serve students who have fallen behind and will not graduate in time. For many of our students, this is the last chance to graduate.
Ombudsman has really helped our graduation rate.
The approach Ombudsman takes – three hours of self-paced classroom study, five days a week – really resonates with students. Students like focusing on their work without taking a break, which enables them to have jobs in the afternoons or evenings. Ombudsman recognizes this commitment through work credits.
Our students have the option to complete one year with Ombudsman and then return to their regular classrooms, or finish their studies at Ombudsman and still walk across the stage with their classmates.
Ombudsman does very well with kids who need to break bad habits. They have taken students who have been expelled from our school district. We are open about the problems and Ombudsman works to accommodate us.
We also have students who are ready to give up, and we offer them this option. Students who would not otherwise graduate see this as a road to their future.
